Dr. DuPont is board certified in both Internal and Pulmonary Medicine. His clinical areas of expertise include internal mediine, pulmonary medicine, occupational lung disease and critical care medicine.
He is a fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians and a proud member of American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Internists, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, American Thoracic Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, Pennsylvania Thoracic Society and the Delaware County Medical Society.
Eric S. Heffelfinger, D.O., F.C.C.P.
Dr. Heffelfinger is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care. His hard work and diligence has earned him the respect of his partners and peers in the practice of pulmonary and critical care medicine.
Along with a busy hospital and office practice, Dr. Heffelfinger has found the time to contribute to the local medical community. He was President of the Medical & Dental Staff at Taylor Hospital from July, 2007to June, 2009, and Past Chairman of the Credential Committee & Bylaws Committee at Taylor Hospital. Currently, he is Chairman, Nutrition Committee at Taylor Hospital, Medial Advisor, Palliative Care Committee at Taylor Hospital and is an active member of the Critical Care Committee, Tissue Committee, Ethics Committee, Infection Control Committee at Taylor Hospital.
Gerald A. Meis D.O., F.C.C.P.
Dr. Meis has established himself as a leader in pulmonary disease, occupational lung disease and critical care. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.
He is a fellow and active member of American College of Chest Physicians, as well as American Thoracic Association, American College of Osteopathic Internists, American Osteopathic Association. Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, Delaware County Medical Society, and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
Dr. Meis is currently on staff at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, PA and is the Director of Pulmonary Medicine. He is also on staff at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Springfield Division. Kindred Hospital, Havertown, PA where he is the Medical Director, and Prospect Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility where he is the Director of Pulmonary Medicine.
Richard E. Leyman, PA-C
Rich Leyman is a certified physician assistant who works under the supervision of Dr. Daniel DuPont, Dr. Eric Heffelfinger and Dr. Gerald Meis. Rich joined Suburban Pulmonary Medicine in July, 2007 and he helps provide the highest quality of pulmonary and critical care to our patients, both in the hospital and in the office.
He received his B.S degree from Ursinus College in 1998 and went on to complete his physician assistant studies at MCP Hahnemann in 2001. He is a member of Taylor Hospital medical staff since 2001 and is also on staff at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Springfield Division, Prospect Park Nursing and Rehabilitation facility and Kindred Hospital in Havertown, PA.
Rich is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care to all of his patients and is accessible to the families as well. He is also active in numerous Community Outreach and teaching programs as well as a wide range of administrative activities at Taylor Hospital.
